“ Extremely fresh oysters and great crab cakes ”
“ Wow, this place is amazing. I love a little spot that has a few items on their menu that they do really well. We went here 3 times on our 6 day trip. We enjoyed their raw oysters, shrimp and grits, baked oysters, and roast lobster broth dish. All were perfection. After we were finishing up a boat taxi, we mentioned to the captain that we were going there, and he said as a local it's the best spot on Homer. 10/10 ”
“ The best seafood on the Homer AK Spit and maybe in all of Homer!! Their garlic white wine sauce and creole sauce are amazing and refreshed throughout the evening service. Seafood selections are created in front of the customers while the sent of the amazing dishes tantalize your tastebuds! I’m still not sure what my favourite was... the creamy/briny Ketchikan Alaskan Oysters or the Strawberry/Rhubarb creme brulee! ”
“ If I feel like treating myself this is my go-to. If you want good seafood this is the spot for you. For anyone looking for a moderately priced meal of outstanding quality go to the Broken Oar Oyster Bar, you will not be disappointed ”
“ Absolutely amazing seafood and beer with a great view of the water. The baked oysters are a must and the Creole is delicious. The pan roast is good too but a bit too citrusy for my taste. It did get really crowded by the time we left around dinner time so be sure to come early. ”
“ Adding my 5 stars. Would give more if it were possible. A great place! The owner and crew have worked out their system and recipe for some excellent dishes. We came back here two days in a row to try more of the items on the menu. All were outstanding! ”
“ We started with the peel & eat shrimp as an appetizer and it was nothing short of absolutely delicious. The shrimp is from prince William sound and some of the tastiest shrimp I’ve ever had. The Creole was also sooo tasty and came with shrimp scallops and clams, along with a scoop or rice and 2 slices of toast. The main star of the show was the oysters! We got half raw half baked and it was soooo yummy. We also enjoyed the creme brulee as a desert. We finished absolutely everything. I’d recommend this place a thousand times over to everyone. Did I mention how amazing the staff is? We’ll definitely be back :) ”
“ We come to Homer every year, more, if we are lucky, which we been the last few years. Ryan and his crew always make us feel welcome. I mention Ryan because we have had him serve us over the years (sorry to the rest of the crew, you have always been great too). They always accommodate us coming in, even when they’re busy. Also Kachemak is open when other places are not. The food is fresh, the view is insane & the service is always kind and welcoming. We travel all over for work, and we are big foodies. Homer is not a big town, but the food here is worth the visit. Thank you! ”
